ViacomCBS's Q1 Full Announcements

ViacomCBS has released a lot of new information for Paramount+'s future. Here's everything announced during their Q1 results.

Paramount+ and Showtime OTT's Subscriber Numbers and Pluto TV's Active Users

Paramout+ and Showtime OTT together has 36 million global subscribers. This is up 6 million from the 29 million in Q4.
In its first month, Paramount+ had its best month ever in signups and monthly watch time per active subscriber increased 17% year-over-year mostly from the demand for sports content, including the Super Bowl, NCAA Tournament, UEFA Champions League, along with Oprah with Meghan and Harry and The Grammy Awards.
Pluto TV reached 50 million active global users up from 43 million.
Pluto TV has been promoting Paramount+ pretty heavily with the Paramount+ Picks channel

Paramount+ Brings New Movies Every Week Starting in 2022

Starting in 2022, Paramount+ will debut a new movie every week starting in 2022. This is very similar to what Netflix is doing this year. Keep in mind that the soon-to-be rebranded Paramount Network announced they would do this as well. This will very much be carried over to Paramount+ instead.

Paramount+ will be $4.99

Next month, alongside the Epix movies coming in, Paramount+ will be grandfathering its $5.99 plan for a cheaper $4.99. The downside is that this will not include local CBS streams and some sporting events. Anyone who subscribes to the $5.99 plan before June will not worry about it as you will continue to pay the same price.

'Infinite' moving to Paramount+

Paramount will move its movie Infinite to Paramount+ instead of a theatrical debut
'Infinite' is directed by Antoine Fuqua and stars Mark Wahlberg, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sophie Cookson, Jason Mantzoukas, Rupert Friend, Toby Jones, and Dylan O'Brien. The movie is based on author D. Eric Maikranz's novel "The Reincarnationist Papers".

'iCarly' revival premiering in June

The Nickelodeon revival series will premiere on Paramount+ in June alongside the Epix movies and the grandfathered $4.99 plan.

Conclusion

ViacomCBS have been spending a lot getting Paramount+ into a top-tier streaming service and it's been paying off with all of the recent announcements.
