CBS Sports acquires Scottish Professional Football League; Games to stream on Paramount+

CBS Sports acquires yet another soccer league for Paramount+.

The multi-year deal starting this Friday that last through the 2024/25 season allows Paramount+ to stream the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) games exclusively in the US. These games will also be available on the CBS Sports Network. Plus, Paramount+ will stream the second-division cinch Championship and the Premier Sports Cup.

We've first reported this earlier this week on Twitter.

Because of this, Paramount+ will now have over 2,000 soccer games per year. This is pretty big for a lot of soccer fans. They are in a competition with ESPN+ to acquire more soccer leagues to stream for US viewers (check out What's on Disney Plus for ESPN+ coverage) and CBS Sports are still interested on getting even more so let's wait and see what they'll do next.

What do you think about Paramount+ acquiring more soccer leagues like SPFL?
