'Happy Face' Brings In The Kids And A Recurring David Harewood

The upcoming Paramount+ drama series Happy Face has found all of its series regulars and jonesed for its recurring talk show host and Melissa’s boss. The final series regulars found are  Khiyla Aynne   and Benjamin Mackey, while Supergirl alum David Harewood is racking in the ratings. As one could surmise, Aynne and Mackey play Melissa (played by Annaleigh Ashford )’s kids with husband Ben, played by James Wolk . Specifically, Aynne  plays Hazel, their  secure and happy  15-year-old daughter who initially believes that her mother is off on a simple business trip. However,  she soon starts suspecting that something dire is going on, beginning to investigate and uncover the shocking circumstances of her mother’s past.  Mackey plays  lively   9-year-old Max, who takes his stable upbringing for granted and doesn’t grow his older sister’s suspicions regarding mom’s sudden absence. He instead steadfastly believes she’s producing some sort of on-location segment for  The Dr. Greg Show . A

What’s on Paramount+ Q&A

It’s been 6 months since we’ve started What's on Paramount+. Crazy right?

To celebrate, we’ve conducted a Q&A so you can ask us questions and now me and the team will answer them:

Question: Will any of the 2,500 movies arriving on the service throughout the summer still be subject to certain legal trouble that could cause them to leave the service without warning like what's been happening with Disney+?

Answer: These movies are suplimented by Epix. So whenever a movie leaves Epix, it will leave Paramount+ (and Hulu as they also have movies from Epix). As for non-Epix suplimented movies, that's just up to them. -KP

Question: Do you guys think that CBS should have moved MacGyver (2016) to Paramount+?

Answer: I generally hate when networks cancel something very popular. Honestly, if it gets as big as iCarly or The Good Fight, then maybe they'll continue it on Paramount+. -KP

I feel like there’s something off about MacGyver being straight canceled while SEAL Team gets a few episodes to transition, I’d like to know if MacGyver even had those options, or if some sort of talks fell through like with Zoey and Good Girls. -Scott

Yes, they should have. -Akrenix

Question: Will Paramount Pictures do In Theaters and Paramount Plus on upcoming films? I know there doing simultaneous release on Paw Patrol: The Movie. I wonder if Clifford: The Big Red Dog, Paramount Animation’s Rumble, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, and Seth Rogen’s TMNT 2023 will follow suit.

Answer: Nope! I know HBO Max is doing this for Warner Bros. distributed movie but this is only for 2021. Honestly, this move is not that great for the box office or the theaters. All Paramount Pictures movies will be on Paramount+ (in most cases) 45 days after theaters. Some movies may premiere exclusively on Epix for a while until it makes its way to Paramount+ -KP

QuestionsWill we see any more Nicktoon get revivals?

Answer: Determines how well other revivals do. -KP

Maybe? I’m choosing to believe the iCarly revival renewal news happening is because the first season WILL be over in 6 weeks. Filming just wrapped. Rugrats is a 26 episode order and had a first drop of 6 episodes, the 2-parter and 4 others. This means there’s still 4 drops to go. Rugrats is at 20% while ICarly is just over 50% aired. It is therefore probably early to announce Rugrats’s renewal. Besides, Dora and Fairly OddParents are already being reinvented for live action, so that’s quite a bit already. And that’s just short term. -Scott

It's pretty likely that we will see more revivals. -Akrenix

Question: What's the likelihood of Pinwheel coming to Paramount+? If any, and could you explain why?

Answer: I don't think Pinwheel will be coming, at least in it's original form. It hasn't aired on TV since 1990, there has been no offical home media releases, and most of the show is still lost media. Now, it's possible that Nick has the show in their archives, but that is kinda slim. It's more likey that we will see sn reboot of the show, since Nick still has the rights, but I don't think the original will be available on Paramount+ anytime soon. -Devin

Question: When is Season 2 of ROTTMNT going to come to Paramount+?

Answer: That’s not really a question for us.  Best I can say is by the end of the year because otherwise would be ridiculous -Scott

Question: Why are some shows missing episodes?

Answer: Licensing issues or windowing. -KP

Question: What is your favorite Paramount+ original?

Answer: I have to catch up on a bunch of originals but I am enjoying iCarly. -KP

There's an wide variety of P+ originals, each for various audiences, but if I have to pick one to call my favorite as of now, then my pick is the iCarly revival, as it is just an fun time to digest and enjoy. -Devin

I think ICarly and Star Trek Discovery are my top two favorites currently, but Rugrats and the other Treks found out the top 5. -Scott

The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run -Akrenix

Final Questions from Kasey at What's on Netflix and soon What’s on HBO Max: What are your goals for the website? Will Pluto be rolled into Paramount+ or stay its own thing?

Answer:

For #1) Our goal is to expand our reach of our website. We also plan to write more on our website. Plus we’re open to site partnerships as well

For #2) In the case for if Pluto TV becomes intergraded into Paramount+, it's not going to happen as that's a free service. But according to ViacomCBS's Streaming Event, they are planning to have a Pluto TV-like channels on Paramount+ just like Netflix is doing in some countries. In the case for us reporting Pluto TV news, that's if the team is willing to report it. -KP

And that concludes the Q&A. Thanks to all of the people that submitted questions and the staff for answering. We'll do another one in January for our 1 year anniversary!

From all of us at What's on Paramount+, I’m KPGamingz and stay tuned!!!
