'Tulsa King' Spinoff 'NOLA King' With Samuel L. Jackson In The Works

  Saaaaaalutations! If you thought Paramount+ nabbing Sylvester Stallone to star in Tulsa King said something about what television had become, hear this out: Tulsa King has a New Orleans-set spinoff in development, aptly titled NOLA King , and it’s set to star Samuel L. Jackson. Exact details of NOLA King are under wraps, but Jackson’s character,   Russell Lee Washington Jr.,   has been described as similar to Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. The series would be set up by a recurring arc in Tulsa King ’s third season, currently in production in Oklahoma and Atlanta, which explains why Variety ’s  telling didn’t call the single appearance they implied as a backdoor pilot. Jackson is expected to film his episodes in July, with production on NOLA King looking at a February start. Paramount+ Picks Up 'Skymed' From Piazza Entertainment

Paramount+ is getting a Canadian show.
The streaming service has picked up 'Skymed' which is being produced by Piazza Entertainment, CBC, and CBS Studios.

Created by Julie Puckrin (Nurses, Killjoys) Skymed revolves around life, death and drama at 20,000 feet. The series weaves together intense character journeys and high-stakes medical rescues, as we follow the triumphs, heartbreaks and tribulations of budding nurses and pilots flying air ambulances in remote Northern Canada. They're all in over their heads, and on their own, with no one to rely on but each other.

Cast includes Natasha Calis (Nurses), Ace (Aason) Nadjiwan (Batwoman), Morgan Holmstrom (Siberia), Praneet Akilla (Nancy Drew), Thomas Elms (The Order), Mercedes Morris (Between), Kheon Clarke (Riverdale), Rebecca Kwan (Taken), Braeden Clarke (Outlander) and Aaron Ashmore (Killjoys). 
Skymed is produced by Piazza Entertainment. Puckin executive produces with along with Vanessa Piazza, Ron Murphy, and Gillian Hormel. Steve Adelson serves as pilot director. From Manitoba, Kyle Irving and Lisa Meeches serve as executive producers for Eagle Vision. Jennica Harper and Nikolijne Troubetzkoy serve as co-executive producers. Outside of Canada, the series will be distributed internationally by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group.
