Pluto TV To Stream Full Previous Seasons Of Paramount+ Originals Before The Next Seasons Premiere

There's synergy growing between Paramount Global's streaming platforms, the free Pluto TV and the premium Paramount+. Starting Thursday with the ninth season of Beavis and Butt-HeadPluto TV will begin to offer full previous seasons of before their new seasons premiere on Paramount+.

For 30 days, the entire prior season of the series will be available during primetime programming on the service's Paramount+ Picks channel. With the second season of Beavis and Butt-Head's second revival premiering on the same date as the start of this (April 20), this instance isn't quite an example as it will be concurrent instead. Even one of the other named examples RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars, cannot be as straightforward if there isn't meant to be overlap, as its season premieres on May 12, 24 days from now as of writing. However, shows like Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, whose second season premieres June 15, iCarlyQueen of the Universe, and Joe Pickett are part of the plan regardless, and will probably extend to others. Various other channels on Pluto will host special programming blocks across a wide variety of Pluto TV channels and on-demand, though which are unspecified.

Pluto TV has frequently given airtime for Paramount+'s freshly-premiered original series premieres, such as the aforementioned Beavis and Butt-Head, Joe Pickett, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as Picard, Lower Decks, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, When You Least Expect It, Halo, and Hip Hop My House. Now, these new seasons' first episodes will also have Pluto availability for a week after their home premieres.

Amy Kuessner, EVP, Content Strategy and Global Partnerships at Paramount Streaming says “This new offering reinforces the power and synergy of Paramount’s funnel, both in fueling Pluto TV with popular, fan-favorite original series, as well as serving to promote, market and drive consumers to Paramount+.”
