'September 5' Covers Its Streaming Date

Have a few Munich knacks. Paramount announced on Monday morning that Best Original Screenplay Oscar and Critics Choice nominee September 5 is headed to Paramount+ tomorrow, Tuesday February 25 in the United States and Canada. International rollout will, as usual, be revealed at a later date, but it never quite gets the coverage the domestic arrival to the platform does. The film was first given a limited release on December 13, and considering Sony Pictures ’s Saturday Night ’s limited release on September 27 was what brought it to Sony’s typical 120-day window for its films when it landed on Netflix on January 25 despite a wide release on October 11, it’s clearly the best way to gauge speed. And for Paramount’s 2024 slate, it’s actually a pretty slow 74 days, as even Sonic the Hedgehog 3 demonstrated a week ago that everyone else tends to be around 60 days, with a few films going 53. 'Special Ops: Lioness': First Look At The Nicole Kidman, Zoe Saldaña-Starring CIA Drama Series From Taylor Sheridan

Paramount+ has unveiled the new and official title for their upcoming espionage thriller, which was known simply as Lioness, is now Special Ops: Lioness. Created by Taylor Sheridan, it stars Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman. The title change may be very recent as the former was used as late as a month ago when Thad Luckinbill was announced to be a heavy recurrer.

Based on a real-life CIA program, Special Ops: Lioness follows Cruz Manuelos, played by Laysla De Oliveira and described as a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine. She is recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help defeat a terrorist organization that has infiltrated the team. Saldaña will play Joe, who is the station chief of the Lioness program who trains, manages, and leads the female undercover operatives.

The series is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. Its other series regulars include Dave Annable, LaMonica Garrett, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, Jonah Wharton, Stephanie Nur, Austin Hébert, and Hannah Love Lanier. Michael Kelly appears in a recurring role. Sam Asghari is set to play a character named Kamal. Saldaña and Kidman also executive produce with Sheridan, along with David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Malone and John Hillcoat.
