'Happy Face' To Be Put On March 20; Watch Trailers

  It’s been a rather good month for the Quaids, with  Dennis  getting to go to the  Oscars  as part of the cast of  The Substance  and his son Jack’s new film  Novocaine  from  Paramount Pictures . Well we’re getting Dennis’s next series,  Paramount+ ’s  Happy Face   this month too. The streamer has set a March 20 premiere date for the 8-episode crime drama starring Annaleigh Ashford, with two episodes that will be followed by weekly singles until the May 1 season finale. Happy Face  was first announced in 2021, released its teaser in January, its official trailer on Tuesday and is inspired by the podcast by the same name from iHeartMedia and Melissa Moore, through her true story as chronicled in her autobiography  Shattered Silence  she wrote with M. YA Movie 'Love In Taipei' Trailer Released; Release Plan Set


Paramount+ has released the trailer for their next original film, the young adult romance Love In Taipei, starring Ashley Liao, whose credits include PhysicalFresh Off The Boat and the upcoming The Hunger Games prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Ever Wong's summer takes an unexpected turn when she discovers that she wasn’t signed up for homework and history lessons, but instead for a summer-long free-for-all cultural immersion program in Taipei the locals and other students call "Loveboat". Ever quickly finds it lives up to its name in a journey of self-discovery and romance as she tries not to fall for two attractive but wildly different boys who are vying for her attention. She is also finding the courage to defy her parents’ high expectations and pursue her dancing aspirations.

The film also stars Ross Butler of KC Undercover, 13 Reasons Why, and Shazam! Fury of the Gods as Rick Woo, a prominent academic and athletic prodigy, Nico Hiraga of Booksmart as Xavier Yeh, a free-spirited artist and the heir to an international tech business empire, Chelsea Zhang of Titans as Ever’s Loveboat friend Sophie, and Cindy Cheung, also from 13 Reasons Why, as Ever’s Aunt Shu.

The streamer acquired Love In Taipei, which is based on the New York Times best-selling novel Loveboat, Taipei by Abigail Hing Wen, in early June, with first look photos released at the end of that month. It is set to premiere exclusively on the service in the United States and Canada on Thursday, August 10, followed by the United Kingdom and Australia on Friday, August 11 and Germany, Switzerland, Latin America, Italy, Austria, and France on August 25. Premiere dates for South Korea and other territories will be announced at a later date.

It is directed by Arvin Chen, who previously directed Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?, written by Charlie Oh and Mackenzie Dohr and produced by Matt Kaplan for Ace Entertainment, which bought the film rights to the novel, funded and oversaw production with 1 Productions FilmHing Wen serves as an Executive Producer, alongside Butler Christopher Foss, Matthew Janzen, Max Siemers, Aubrey Bendix, and Cheng-Chung Chang.
