The Official Trailer For 'Special Ops: Lioness' Has Been Released

Paramount+ has released the official trailer for their next Taylor Sheridan-created series, Special Ops: Lioness, starring Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Morgan Freeman. Freeman plays Edwin Mullins, a part of the program.

Inspired by an actual United States military program, the series is about Joe (Saldaña) as she attempts to balance her personal life and being the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror and their efforts to thwart the next major attack. The Lioness Program/Lioness Engagement Team is run by Kaitlyn Meade (Kidman), and Donald Westfield, played by Michael Kelly. Joe is the Lioness program station chief who trains, manages, and leads the female undercover operatives. They enlist Cruz, an aggressive, passionate, and rough-around-the-edges Marine Raider played by Laysla De Oliveira, who is, therefore, the newest recruit Joe trains. Together, they operate deep undercover with her among the power brokers of State terrorism and help bring down a terrorist organization from within. Or it's about Cruz, still not quite clear.

LaMonica Garrett, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, James Jordan, Stephanie Nur, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton, and Hannah Love Lanier also star. Sheridan, who created the Yellowstone franchise, took over as showrunner following the writers' room. He also serves as executive producer with Saldaña, KidmanWagner, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Malone and John Hillcoat. Special Ops: Lioness is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios, and will premiere with two episodes on Sunday, July 23, in the United States and all international Paramount+ markets, with weekly rollout thereafter. The trailer can be watched below.
