'The Thundermans Return' Goes Long-Term With New Series Starring Phoebe, Max, And Chloe

  The Thundermans   are staying in production living a double life. Fresh off the apparent success of the reunion movie  The Thundermans Return , the  Nickelodeon  superhero franchise is expanding again with a new series greenlight from Nickelodeon Studios, coming to both Nickelodeon and  Paramount+ . The new series, which hasn’t had its title revealed, will follow  Kira Kosarin  as Phoebe and Jack Griffo as Max Thunderman who are sent undercover to handle a new threat in the seaside town of Secret Shores and bring Chloe, played once again by Maya Le Clark, along to train her in superheroing. It seems Chloe will infiltrate the school the threat seems to be coming from, and she forms a bond with two classmates while they investigate the suspicious activity from within, and her new friends don’t know about her powers. 'SEAL Team' Ending With Season 7; Adds Two To Cast

SEAL Team is officially headed for its final mission. The military drama is officially ending with its seventh season. In addition, the standalone movie put into development in February 2022 was shelved with little fanfare. 

With both strikes over, production on the final season reportedly began earlier this month for a premiere next year, and has added two cast members: Beau Knapp as a series regular, and, having been released as a series regular on Superman & Lois for its overhauled fourth and final season, Dylan Walsh joins in a recurring role. Knapp will play Drew Franklin, a Chief Petty Officer with a spotty history at Command. The DEVGRU higher-ups placed him on Bravo Team because they view him as a problem child. A He’s a cunning smooth talker who does everything to benefit himself, and revels in the mystery and gossip about him. Walsh will play Captain Walch, a by-the-book and politically-minded DEVGRU Commanding Officer. His judgment may very well be interfered and guided by his ambitions with his jurisdiction over Bravo Team.

Knapp is known for his role in Seven Seconds on Netflix and has appeared in Peacock’s The Lost Symbol and Showtime’s Good Lord Bird with Ethan Hawke. His film credits include American Skin with Frank Grillo, Black and Blue, Mosquito State, and the upcoming The Bikeriders with Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, and Michael Shannon (which was dropped by Disney before its scheduled release earlier this month and landed at Focus Features now set for June) and the Road House remake starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor. Walsh’s first major regular role was as Dr. Sean McNamara Nip/Tuck, with his next being as Al Burns on Unforgettable. His first regular role on The CW was as Peter Abbott on the single-season Life Sentence. Expected to return to Superman & Lois as General Sam Lane for two episodes in its final season, he also had major recurring roles as Mayor Pete Chase on CBS’ Blue Bloods, entering its 14th and its own final season. His film work includes The Lake House and the 2009 remake of The Stepfather.

SEAL Team follows the work and personal lives of the highest elite unit of Navy SEALs as they work the most dangerous, high-stakes missions. It premiered in 2017 on CBS, running its first 4 seasons there before becoming a Paramount+ original with the fifth episode of season five. The renewal for season 7 was announced in January. Knapp joins a main cast consisting of David Boreanaz, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks and Raffi Barsoumian. 

On the ending of the series, executive producers Spencer Hudnut and Christopher Chulack released a joint statement that said “It has been a privilege to tell stories over seven seasons that honor the bravery and heroism of all who serve our country. We are deeply grateful to our amazing group of actors, writers, directors and talented crew, especially the hundreds of veterans who have worked on this show. While we wish we could continue to shine a spotlight on areas where we can do better for our service members even after Season 7 comes to an end, it is our hope that the collective SEAL Team community will stay in the fight when it comes to protecting our protectors.”

Boreanaz, who plays Jason Hayes and executive produces, adds “For six seasons I have been fortunate and blessed to be a part of an outstanding cast and crew. Every day spent was a note of thanks to our men and women in the military and Special OPS. I thank our fans, and I’m proud we were able to make this show to shine light in the darkness toward so many suffering today. I look forward to Season 7 and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.” When we last saw the character at the end of the sixth season, Hayes confessed his TBI and compromised state on recent missions at his Navy Cross ceremony, after which he was called on the carpet by superiors, told by one “You created one hell of a mess, and left us no choice but to stand you down.”
