'Tulsa King' Spinoff 'NOLA King' With Samuel L. Jackson In The Works

  Saaaaaalutations! If you thought Paramount+ nabbing Sylvester Stallone to star in Tulsa King said something about what television had become, hear this out: Tulsa King has a New Orleans-set spinoff in development, aptly titled NOLA King , and it’s set to star Samuel L. Jackson. Exact details of NOLA King are under wraps, but Jackson’s character,   Russell Lee Washington Jr.,   has been described as similar to Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. The series would be set up by a recurring arc in Tulsa King ’s third season, currently in production in Oklahoma and Atlanta, which explains why Variety ’s  telling didn’t call the single appearance they implied as a backdoor pilot. Jackson is expected to film his episodes in July, with production on NOLA King looking at a February start. Pluto TV launches 4 new channels

Paramount+ is just around the corner and Pluto TV is launching 4 new channels to it's lineup.

Paramount+ Picks (just like Showtime Selects) is a channel featuring shows like Star Trek: Discovery and The Stand, NCIS, Big Brother and more. These shows, of course, are available on Paramount+, ViacomCBS’ re-branded streaming service. As ViacomCBS owns both Pluto TV and Paramount+, this channel is a great opportunity to allow potential viewers to “try before they buy” the streaming service.

Ryan and Friends is the best of kid video superstar Ryan – of Ryan’s World and the hit Nickelodeon show Ryan’s Mystery Playdate – and all of his friends, such as popular vlogger Jason Vlogs, rising star Marlin “MarMar” Chan of MarMar Land, and others! Ryan and Friends is a non-stop adventure of learning and fun – featuring free, safe and educational shows, cartoons, exclusive premieres, and more. The fun never ends with Ryan and Friends!

The Nashville channel features a 24/7 stream of the popular CMT soap opera. The series stars Hayden Panettiere and Clare Bowen and details the lives of a collection of country music stars. Nashville also featured Connie Britton until Season 5.

This also commemorates the launch of Pluto TV’s MLB station where viewers will be able to stream over 200 hours of classic content including iconic World Series and All-Star games, milestone performances, episodes of “Epic Moments,” “Baseball’s Seasons” and “Cathedrals of the Game” in addition to curated clips and playlists featuring top plays from the legendary sport.

The new channels will be available tomorrow.
