The upcoming Paramount+ drama series Happy Face has found all of its series regulars and jonesed for its recurring talk show host and Melissa’s boss. The final series regulars found are  Khiyla Aynne   and Benjamin Mackey, while Supergirl alum David Harewood is racking in the ratings. As one could surmise, Aynne and Mackey play Melissa (played by Annaleigh Ashford )’s kids with husband Ben, played by James Wolk . Specifically, Aynne  plays Hazel, their  secure and happy  15-year-old daughter who initially believes that her mother is off on a simple business trip. However,  she soon starts suspecting that something dire is going on, beginning to investigate and uncover the shocking circumstances of her mother’s past.  Mackey plays  lively   9-year-old Max, who takes his stable upbringing for granted and doesn’t grow his older sister’s suspicions regarding mom’s sudden absence. He instead steadfastly believes she’s producing some sort of on-location segment for  The Dr. Greg Show . A

The Fastest Growing Brand of 2021 Goes to...Paramount+?

Yeah, we couldn't believe it as well.

According to the Morning Consult's report on the fastest-growing brands for 2021, Paramount+ was the top streaming service in 2021, the number one fastest-growing brand among all adults, and the number one fastest-growing brand for Gen Z and Millennials. The two other streaming services that made the list were HBO Max and Pluto TV. Meanwhile, the big streaming services Netflix and Hulu were nowhere near the top 20.

It was also ranked number one for all adults including Gen Z and Millennials; however, Gen X ranked the service number two, and Baby Boomers placed them at number six on the list.

HBO Max was pretty close, ranking at number three among all adults, #20 for Millennials, number seven on the list for Gen X, and ranked number three for Baby Boomers. Pluto TV was number seven among all adults, #16 for Millennials, number six for Gen X, and number eight for Baby Boomers.

Additionally, among all adults, Paramount+ saw a growth of 8.5 percentage points. Growth was determined by taking the share of consumers who said they were considering purchasing from the brand from October 1-26, 2021, and subtracting the share who said the same back on January 1-31, 2021.

HBO Max had a growth of 5.0 percentage points, and Pluto TV experienced a growth of 3.7 percentage points. Interestingly, YouTube Shorts was one rank above Pluto TV with a growth of 3.8, whereas YouTube Premium was #20 in the ranking (last place) with the smallest growth of 3.0.

So the biggest question is, how did Paramount+ achieve this?

One reason only. ViacomCBS uses live sports, news, shows, and movies and combines them into a single streaming service, Paramount+. They are even on track to reaching 65 million subscribers before 2024 right now.

The service still has massive flaws that need to be worked like live sports issues where games aren't streaming or the library shows not showing up on time. But never the less, Paramount+ will one day be the streaming service you need to subscribe to.

What do you think about Paramount+ being the fastest growing brand of 2021?
