'Rosemary's Baby' Prequel 'Apartment 7A’ Coming As This Halloween’s Exclusive Horror Prequel Pic

Yeah I know the title says “prequel” twice. Last October, Paramount+ released a prequel film to the classic Stephen King novel Pet Sematary, called Pet Sematary: Bloodlines , exclusively to the platform as part of its “Peak Screaming” Halloween festivities. It was unclear which adaptation it was a prequel to, but it starred Jackson White, Henry Thomas and David Duchovny among others. While the release of Paramount+-original narrative films looks to be less consistent than last year, the platform has announced that there’s at least still going to be one to serve a similar purpose, and it’s another prequel to a horror classic: Rosemary’s Baby, titled Apartment 7A . Insert comments about originality being dead here. Apartment 7A is directed by Natalie Erika James and stars Ozark and Inventing Anna star Julia Garner, who has The Wolf Man and Marvel Studios’s The Fantastic Four (the latter in the role of Silver Surfer Shalla-Bal) ahead of her in 2025. Rosemary’s Baby was originally rele

The 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Zuko Movie Is Confirmed For 2026

Following on from the report last month, things are falling more into place with the future of the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise. Avatar News has confirmed that the second of the three theatrical films is indeed focused on Zuko. It is set for release in 2026. And yes, while these are theatrical films, What's On Paramount+ is more than happy to cover Paramount's theatrical releases, not only being news from within the same company, but the theatrical films make their way to Paramount+ anyway. It's all good here.

They are also projecting that Paramount will retain the release weekend that the first film is scheduled for, the one centered on all of Team Avatar/the Gaang. As that film is scheduled for October 10, 2025, they're projecting the Zuko film for the equivalent weekend on the year after, October 9, 2026. It is also believed, on minimal info, that although they're not connected storyline-wise, the two films will take place in the same era of Zuko's life. If anything, it would seemingly be to retain Dante Basco as Zuko, who is already confirmed for the 2025 film. In this era of genuine representation, this franchise which is just getting started up again hasn't had the chance to properly cast an Asian voice for middle-aged and/or older Zuko. Bruce Davison, who provided that voice on The Legend of Korra, is very much white. Staying away from that era, even if it’s just until the Korra-centric film that immediately follows it, bides time to get that squared away should they so choose.

Look out for their next exclusive coming soon, pertaining to the live-action series adaptation happening over at Netflix, as they finalize details. As it's Netflix, it won't be covered here.
