'80 For Brady' Paramount+ Arrival Is Imminent

Paramount+ has announced that 80 For Brady, Paramount Pictures and Fifth Seasons’s hit film starring Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno and Sally Field, will debut on the platform in the US and Canada on Tuesday, April 4. Further markets will be announced soon.

The film, inspired by the true story of four elder best friends who take a life-changing trip to Super Bowl LI in 2017 to see their hero Tom Brady play, had its wide release on February 3, the weekend before this year’s Super Bowl. It scored highly with critics and general audiences, going on to gross over $39M, a total very much helped by domestic audiences after a widely discussed experiment with discounted ticketing. The film’s supporting cast consists of Sara Gilbert, Harry Hamlin, Glynn Turman, Billy Porter, Rob Corddry, Bob Balaban, Ron Funches, Jimmy O. Yang, Alex Moffat, Guy Fieri, Matt Lauria, and of course Tom Brady himself, who did put in an appearance.

Emily Halpern & Sarah Haskins of Booksmart wrote the script Kyle Marvin would direct. Fifth Season developed the film with Brady, and Donna Gigliotti, with all three entities producing the film, though for the recently-retired quarterback, it was through his company 199 Productions. Additional executive producers include Marvin through his Watch This Ready banner and Jeff Stott.
