'September 5' Covers Its Streaming Date

Have a few Munich knacks. Paramount announced on Monday morning that Best Original Screenplay Oscar and Critics Choice nominee September 5 is headed to Paramount+ tomorrow, Tuesday February 25 in the United States and Canada. International rollout will, as usual, be revealed at a later date, but it never quite gets the coverage the domestic arrival to the platform does. Joaquina Kalukango, Lonnie Chavis, Rob Morgan, Ryan O’Nan and Justin Hurtt-Dunkley have been cast in key recurring roles in the upcoming Bass Reeves series from Taylor Sheridan.

The news of these castings comes as the series for Paramount+ about the legendary lawman considered American history's greatest frontier hero also welcomed Shea Whigham and Garrett Hedlund in recurring roles as well this week. It stars executive producer David Oyelowo, with Lauren E. Banks, Forrest Goodluck, Demi Singleton and Barry Pepper. Dennis Quaid and Chris Grantham will also be recurring.

Kalukango has a decade of experience in theater. In their move to the small screen, their most extensive TV work is four episodes of Lovecraft Country. She will play Esme, a former enslaved woman who is "as good as family with the Reeves’ and also has some different ideas about the future". Chavis is best known for playing young Randall Pearson on This Is Us, but has also appeared on series such as Supergirl and The Thundermans. He will play Arthur Mayberry, a boy infatuated with Reeves’ daughter Sally. Morgan, who also appeared on This Is Us as Councilman Sol Brown and as Turk Barrett in every MCU Netflix series will play Ramsey, a once-strong man who has become rather disillusioned. He also played Magic Johnson's father, Earvin Sr., in HBO's Winning Time

O’Nan, who played King George on Queen of the South and currently recurs on ABC's Big Sky, will play Darrell Dolliver, one of the two Dolliver outlaws Bass must find and turn in. Hurtt-Dunkley, who has appeared in Mare of Easttown, will play Ike, a deputy U.S. marshal.
