'September 5' Covers Its Streaming Date

Have a few Munich knacks. Paramount announced on Monday morning that Best Original Screenplay Oscar and Critics Choice nominee September 5 is headed to Paramount+ tomorrow, Tuesday February 25 in the United States and Canada. International rollout will, as usual, be revealed at a later date, but it never quite gets the coverage the domestic arrival to the platform does. The film was first given a limited release on December 13, and considering Sony Pictures ’s Saturday Night ’s limited release on September 27 was what brought it to Sony’s typical 120-day window for its films when it landed on Netflix on January 25 despite a wide release on October 11, it’s clearly the best way to gauge speed. And for Paramount’s 2024 slate, it’s actually a pretty slow 74 days, as even Sonic the Hedgehog 3 demonstrated a week ago that everyone else tends to be around 60 days, with a few films going 53. Sonic 3  opened a week later on December 20 and arrived on February 18. September 5 ...

'Star Trek: Strange New Worlds' Gets Quite The Kirk Out In Season 2 Teaser

As Star Trek: Picard wrapped on Thursday, Paramount+ prepped viewers and Trekkies alike for the next Trek series in line to return. That next series is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and so the streamer released a new teaser for the upcoming second season. That second season premieres on June 15 in the U.S, the United Kingdom,  France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Latin America, Brazil, and Austria so it's quite a break unusual for this era.

As the Pike-led Enterprise continues boldly going on its mission, Number One talks about the crew has built their own individual journeys and flourishing with them. There's moments of togetherness and long looks, as Paul Wesley's James T. Kirk gets a formal introduction. He's already making an impression on one of the smitten crewmates. Spock has a drink with some very light but very welcome group of Klingons in The Next Generation-era designs, walking back the versions controversially introduced in Discovery. Through great wonders and great danger, nobody is alone. And Spock would like the ship to go, Now.

Strange New Worlds follows the era of when Captain Christopher Pike commanded the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series stars Anson Mount as Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One, Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock, Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas and Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Celia Rose Gooding as Nyota Uhura. Joining Wesley in a recurring capacity is Carol Kane, known for Taxi and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. As announced last Star Trek Day, she's playing Pelia, an aged, experienced engineer who takes no bullshit. The new teaser can be watched below.
