Verizon Introduces Discounted Bundle Of Netflix And Paramount+ With Showtime

In an unprecedented move, Verizon is bringing Paramount+ with Showtime together with Netflix in a price-discounted bundle.

Through Verizon’s +play subscription-aggregation hub, the limited-time deal offers mobile customers a price point of $25.99/month for Netflix Premium and Paramount+ With Showtime, which is a 19% discount ($5.99 off) the regular monthly price of the two services as sold individually. This is not a combined app and you will still need each individually to watch them. +play is Verizon's attempt to be neutral ground in the streaming wars. The portal includes more than 30 services, across entertainment, sports, education, lifestyle, and fitness categories. This includes Netflix and Paramount+ among a field with Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Max, Discovery+, AMC+, NFL+, NBA League Pass, an A+E Networks package of Lifetime Movie Club, History Vault, and A&E Crime Central, The Athletic, Starz, and even the Peloton App, Calm, and Duolingo.

Netflix Premium is Netflix's most expensive plan at normally $19.99/month. It allows for up to four simultaneous streams and content in up to 4K Ultra HD. Paramount+ With Showtime will cost $11.99/month when it launches as Paramount Global's major ad-free streaming plan toward the end of this month.

Announcing the deal, Verizon Consumer Group’s chief content officer Erin McPherson stated "With partners like Netflix and Paramount+ With Showtime on +play, we’re leading the industry in offering customers the content they want in completely new formats, with never-before-seen bundles they can’t get anywhere else." Jeff Shultz, Paramount Streaming’s chief officer of strategy and business development, added: “This new and distinctive streaming bundle on Verizon’s +play is yet another example of our commitment to offering consumers universal distribution and industry-leading deals. By partnering with Verizon, we are making our broad and popular streaming offering on Paramount+ With Showtime just that more accessible.”
