'Happy Face' To Be Put On March 20; Watch Trailers

  It’s been a rather good month for the Quaids, with  Dennis  getting to go to the  Oscars  as part of the cast of  The Substance  and his son Jack’s new film  Novocaine  from  Paramount Pictures . Well we’re getting Dennis’s next series,  Paramount+ ’s  Happy Face   this month too. The streamer has set a March 20 premiere date for the 8-episode crime drama starring Annaleigh Ashford, with two episodes that will be followed by weekly singles until the May 1 season finale. Happy Face  was first announced in 2021, released its teaser in January, its official trailer on Tuesday and is inspired by the podcast by the same name from iHeartMedia and Melissa Moore, through her true story as chronicled in her autobiography  Shattered Silence  she wrote with M. 'Pet Sematary: Bloodlines' First Look And Premiere Date Revealed

 

This Halloween, a Stephen King adaptation releases as a Paramount+ original once again. The streamer has released first look images for Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, and announced it will premiere on the service on October 6 exclusively in the United States, Canada, Latin America and Brazil. It will premiere on Saturday, October 7 in the rest of the streamer's international markets. It is a prequel to King's Pet Sematary, seemingly more directly to the original story than either previous adaptation, released by Paramount Pictures in 1989 and 2019 respectively. The author has called the novel his scariest property.

The film's official synopsis goes: "In 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.” It stars Ambulance's Jackson White, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial's Henry Thomas , Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Tell Me A Story's Natalie Alyn Lind, and Isabella Star LaBlanc, with Pam Grier, best known for Foxy Brown and Jackie Brown, and The X Files and Californication's David Duchovny.

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines is the directorial debut of Lindsey Anderson Beer, from a script written by her and Jeff Buhler. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian produce. Previously in the streamer's history, a second miniseries adaptation of The Stand premiered in December 2020 when the name was still CBS All Access. The original Pet Sematary film is also streaming on the service, with The Dead Zone and the CBS series Under the Dome.

The film will be included in the Paramount+ Peak Screaming collection that curates fan favorite horror movies and iconic Halloween episodes from beloved series. Check out more images below, including the film's poster.
