'Zoey 102': Paramount+ Releases New Images For This Summer's 'Zoey 101' Reunion Movie

Are you ready? Ooh! I know you feel the summer's near, so what better time for a wedding? Nickelodeon and Paramount+ have released the first images from this summer's Zoey 102 movie for the streaming service.

In the film, which was announced in January, Zoey Brooks will reunite with her Pacific Coast Academy classmates, having been part of the first wave of female graduates at the prestigious boarding school. She will evidently not have stayed with Chase Matthews, played Sean Flynn, as they finally hooked up at the end of the series. They will be reuniting however, and with their friends and ex-roommates Quinn Pensky, played by Erin Sanders, Logan Reese, played by Matthew Underwood, Michael Barret, played by Christopher Massey. Stacey Dillsen, played by Abby Wilde, and Mark Del Figgalo, played by Jack Salvatore, will also be attending. Thomas Lennon, of Reno 911, The State, and The Odd Couple plays Zoey's boss Kelly Kevyn, Owen Thiele (Theater Camp) is Zoey's friend Archer March, and Dean Geyer, who you might remember as gigolo and one-time Rachel Berry boyfriend Brody Weston on Glee, plays charismatic actor Todd. A "Coming Soon" teaser with rings as the o's was released on the relevant socials.

Zoey 101 was created by Dan Schneider as a vehicle for Spears off of her two seasons on the sketch comedy series All That.  ran for four seasons and 61 episodes on Nickelodeon from 2005-2008. Zoey 102 comes as a culmination of smaller Zoey-related doings. It started with "What Did Zoey Say?" in 2015, a short follow-up to the "Time Capsule" episode, featuring Flynn and Massey as Chase and Michael. Then came the cold open for All That's 200th episode, which aired in 2020, and featured Jamie Lynn, Sean, Chris, Erin, Matt, Paul Butcher, and Kristin Herrera encountering Spears's Thelma Stump character. Butcher and Herrera will not be appearing in the film as brother Dustin and ex-roommate Dana. Spears would then recruit some for the music video to her new version of the show's theme song  (which she originally sang) the next year.

Zoey 102 is directed by Nancy Hower from a script by Monica Sherer and Madeline Whitby. They and Spears are executive producers with Alexis Fisher. Nickelodeon has never been afraid of a good nostalgia push, and with Paramount+ they've rebooted Rugrats and will do the same for Dora the Explorer, revived iCarlyreleased a feature film based on their Blue's Clues revival, and are set to release a Good Burger sequel and The Thundermans Return later this year.
