Freddy Isn't Ready For Dad In 'Frasier' Revival Trailer

As promised the day before through a short with footage from Kelsey Grammer talking to the audience at a taping, Paramount+ released the trailer for the Frajer…er Frasier revival on Thursday.

In what could be the scene the image of Dr. Crane having drinks with Nicholas Lyndhorst’s Alan Cornwall and Toks Olagundoye’s Olivia comes from if they’re not all identical in shot composition, he’s demonstrating his highly educated vocabulary, leading to snark from Cornwall. Frasier is back and surprising his son Freddy, played by Jack Cutmore-Scott, at his apartment. Apparently they’ve been estranged enough that he hadn’t even heard of Jess Salgueiro’s Eve who, unless Frasier is mistaken, is clarified to be Freddy’s girlfriend. Plus he’s got his own life priorities now.

But dad misses him and won’t take no for an answer so he’s staying in Boston. He’s got his own place and it seems he’s taken a Harvard professorship, making Alan and Olivia his colleagues and maybe making her professional pursuits of him seem to succeed far easier than previously led to believe. It’s the next chapter. Frasier is comfortably rich that the designer pillows means no one in jeans can sit on the couches, and cheap scotch is still repulsive.

Also starring Anders Keith as David Crane, Niles and Daphne’s son, the Frasier revival premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, October 12 with two episodes that will also air on CBS on October 17. In addition, a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the revival, called Frasier: Inside the Series, is either debuting on Friday, October 6 on the streamer, or on October 7 on CBS with next day availability on the streamer, as well as on its official YouTube and Facebook pages, Pluto TV and Mixible. Deadline, TVLine, get your acts together.
