'Tulsa King' Spinoff 'NOLA King' With Samuel L. Jackson In The Works

  Saaaaaalutations! If you thought Paramount+ nabbing Sylvester Stallone to star in Tulsa King said something about what television had become, hear this out: Tulsa King has a New Orleans-set spinoff in development, aptly titled NOLA King , and it’s set to star Samuel L. Jackson. Exact details of NOLA King are under wraps, but Jackson’s character,   Russell Lee Washington Jr.,   has been described as similar to Stallone’s Dwight Manfredi. The series would be set up by a recurring arc in Tulsa King ’s third season, currently in production in Oklahoma and Atlanta, which explains why Variety ’s  telling didn’t call the single appearance they implied as a backdoor pilot. Jackson is expected to film his episodes in July, with production on NOLA King looking at a February start. 'Monster High 2' Sets Monstrous Admissions Date With Official Trailer

 
Halloween is just around the corner, which means the networks and streamers are readying their celebratory events. Disney+ has announced its arrival date for Haunted Mansion and begun marketing the upcoming Goosebumps series. They're putting Werewolf by Night on Hulu too. Earlier this week Paramount+ released the trailer and poster for Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, and now they're doing similar in the direction of the kids, with it and Nickelodeon's live action Monster High 2, based on the Mattel toys. Such announcement was overtly teased on Wednesday.

The sequel to last year's Monster High: The Movie arrives exactly a year's worth of Thursdays later, streaming October 5 on Paramount+, with its linear premiere that night on Nickelodeon at 7 PM, and available internationally on both platforms on the same day in certain international markets where the service is available. Practically identical rollout to the first movie. There will be repeat airings every weekend for the rest of the month, as an intrinsic part of the network's Monster Movie Madness stunt. Monster High 2
follows Clawdeen Wolf, played by Miia Harris, Draculaura, played by Nayah Damasen and Frankie Stein, played by Ceci Balagot as sophomore year begins at Monster High. The power of three is put to the test as they face even bigger challenges this year, like new students including feisty British were-cat Toralei,
 played by Salena Qureshiback, after a year abroad in Scaris, France. New powers, evolving friendships, and an even bigger foe that could not only rip apart their friendship, but change the world forever? They're ready to face it.

The film also stars Case Walker as Deuce Gorgon; Marci T. House as Headmistress Bloodgood; Scotch Ellis Loring as Clawdeen's dad Apollo, I'm in the Band's Steve Valentine as Draculaura's dad, Dracula; Jy Prishkulnik as Cleo de Nile; Lina Lecompte as Lagoona; Justin Derickson as Heath Burns; Lilah Fitzgerald as Ghoulia; Nasiv Sall as Abbey Bominable; Bonale Fambrini as Ellis; Kyra Leroux as Demi Boovais; and Ana Ortiz as Zamara Prue. More familiar and favorite characters from the Monster High franchise will make appearances.

Todd Holland returns to the directors' chair for this sequel, and serving as executive producer.Phil Breman, Vice President of Live Action Development at Mattel Television, Adam Bonnett and Fred Soulie serve as executive producers. Shawn Williamson and Arielle Boisvert from Brightlight Pictures also serve as executive producers with David Magee as producer. The teleplay is written by Matt & Billy Eddy, with story by Holland & the Eddys. New episodes of the animated series in its own continuity that premiered a few weeks after the first film will resume on Nickelodeon this fall as well.
