Frasier Has 101 Grievances With Freddy’s Canine Colleague In New Clip

He may have outlasted his father Martin’s dog Eddie, but Frasier Crane may have just gotten himself into some more mutt mayhem in this new clip from the Frasier revival.

It’s a 50-second clip titled “Frasier’s New Nemesis” and comes from this Thursday’s episode. The mere presence of a Dalmatian Frasier’s son Freddy works with at the fire station, where Frasier is making a meal, drives the former TV talk show host mad just by sitting there. Good dog. The clip does not reveal what the dog’s name is however. "Think you're gonna wear me down?" he asks the pooch. "Trust me, I've had years of experience. I outlasted that little mongrel, I'll outlast you," he sneers, directly referencing Eddie.

In the original series’s 11-season run, Eddie was portrayed by wire-hair Jack Russell Terrier, Moose. After season eight, Moose's son Enzo became his father's stunt double as he got up there in age. Moose died at 15 in 2006 and Enzo died at 14 in 2010.

The Frasier revival stars Kelsey Grammer once again in the role of Dr. Crane, a role he played for 20 years from 9 seasons of Cheers and 11 on his spin-off. The new season’s general synopsis covers his next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. He stars with Jack Cutmore-Scott as Freddy; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned Harvard professor Alan; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Frasier and Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate Eve; and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew, Niles and Daphne’s son David. Episodes release Thursdays on Paramount+
