Paramount+ Heads To San Diego Comic-Con 2024

 


With the dual strikes settled, much of the corporate television and film presence can return to San Diego Comic-Con, which is happening Wednesday, July 24 to Sunday July 28. This includes Paramount+, which for the first time includes its Showtime parts since the linear formation of Paramount+ with Showtime

The Lodge takes over the Gas Lamp district once more with several fan experiences and activations for movies and series such as If, which debuted on the streamer only yesterday, Tulsa King, Ghosts, Criminal Minds: Evolution with its ongoing second seasonand SpongeBob SquarePants as it continues its 25th anniversary celebration. The Paramount Passport will also be available again, where attendees can participate in a citywide digital scavenger hunt to earn limited edition prizes. The full list of events are as follows:

Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesThursday, July 25, 2:15 – 3:15 PM PT, Room: 6BCFThe series explores the pizza-loving heroes as they emerge from the sewers and onto the streets of NYC. Host, writer, podcaster and stand-up comedian Claire Lim will join the voices of Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey (Nicolas Cantu, Brady Noon, Micah Abbey and Shamon Brown Jr.) as well as series producers, for a big chat and never-before seen content.

Dexter: Original SinFriday, July 26, 5:45-6:45 PM PT, Ballroom 20: Showrunner and EP Clyde Phillips, EP Scott Reynolds and cast members Christian Slater (Harry Morgan), Patrick Gibson (Dexter Morgan) and Molly Brown (Debra Morgan) take fans into the new series and unveil a few exciting surprises. Moderated by Dexter: Original Sin special guest star, Sarah Michelle Gellar.  

Star Trek Returns to Hall H, Saturday, July 27, 1:45-3:15 PM PT, Hall H.: As is typical, this is a multi-show extravaganza 

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds with cast members Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn and Ethan Peck, alongside executive producers Alex Kurtzman (who as franchise shepherd appears in every phase of the panel), Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers.

Star Trek: Lower Decks with voice cast members Jack Quaid, Tawny Newsome, Noël Wells and Jerry O’Connell, along with creator and executive producer Mike McMahan and executive producer Kurtzman.

Star Trek: Starfleet Academy with EPs and co-showrunners Kurtzman and Noga Landau.

Star Trek: Section 31 will have its Hall H debut with cast members Omari Hardwick, Sam Richardson and Kacey Rohl, along with executive producer Kurtzman and director Olatunde Osunsanmi. Everything is moderated by filmmaker, director and executive producer Justin Simien.

There is no word on what Prodigy’s SDCC presence will look like going forward. Of course Paramount+ relinquished control of that so any answers won’t be coming from them.

Other Paramount+ activations in addition to The Lodge at Happy Does Bar on 340 Fifth Ave in San Diego include Star Trek Menagerie Booth will show off creatures and specimens across the Star Trek universe at Booth #3529. The description for the Menagerie booth reads: Behold the STAR TREK Menagerie booth on the convention floor, displaying creatures across renowned STAR TREK properties. You can get an up-close look at exciting specimens from STRANGE NEW WORLDS, DISCOVERY, LOWER DECKS, PICARD, THE ORIGINAL SERIES and more! Become part of the Menagerie yourself as you enter the human display for an immersive photo opportunity. An SDCC badge is required for entry.

Those want to participate in the Paramount Passport can register at http://www.ParamountPassport.com. Once entered, guests can scan an item at the following locations after interacting with the space, and earn a passport stamp. Once a guest visits all seven locations, they head to the Paramount Passport Redemption area located at Paramount+’s The Lodge for limited edition prizes. The digital passport also has info on all Paramount activations and panels.
