'iCarly' Confirms Its Season 3 Guest Stars

The third season of iCarly's revival premieres tomorrow on Paramount+, and in its leadup Tuesday, the show and streamer's Instagram co-posted a reel announcing fifteen of the season's guest stars. Some are very familiar, some come from the original series, some from the revival, and some are deep cuts. But not where you think!

The video starts with Josh Peck, returning as Paul, Carly's manager. He's easily been the most prominent recurrer to originate from the revival, even just from his season 2 appearance. He slaps the camera over to Big Time Rush's James Maslow, who is in fact not playing a new character, but returning as Shane, the object of Carly and Sam's affection in the first episode of the original series' second season "iSaw Him First". He slaps it over to Hannah Stocking, returning as Sunny Jackson, the leader of an underground fight club for influencers from "iHit Something", the penultimate episode of last season. From here, we get returnees initially confirmed by the trailer: Carly's nemesis Nevel Papperman, played once again by Reed Alexander, the recurring Mary Scheer as Marissa Benson, Freddie's mother whom he has been back to living with since the revival began, Tim Russ back as the retired Principal Ted Franklin, who made one previous revival appearance in "i'M Cursed", and then to Lewbert, played once again by Jeremy Rowley, who last appeared in last season's "iObject, Lewbert!", where he unsuccessfully sued Carly.

From here, the reveals get especially interesting, as Bailey Stender is back as Prunella Pitz, Nevel's inexplicably fake-turned-real bride and wife (and once-suspected robot), so they'll at least be together when they return. She turns to Never Have I Ever's Benjamin Norris, who is playing a new character named Troy. He flips it over to Skyler Day, who will be playing Malika. However, this is no ordinary Malika, no this is Magic Malika, with Day reprising the role. She was Freddie's date to the Girls' Choice Dance in the original series season three's "iSpeed Date". She then flips to Mason Alexander Park, whom we actually saw a glimpse of in the season trailer like we did Maslow. While they have risen to prominence on Netflix's live-action Cowboy Bebop series and their The Sandman adaptation, as well as the Quantum Leap reboot, they will actually be returning to one of their first acting roles. Their character Toby Peterson first appeared in season five's "iLove You". And then what's this? Patty Guggenheim! The beloved Madisynn from that episode of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law! She's playing Tinsley, a frenemy of Laci Moseley's Harper. Her first appearance is in the second episode "iLove Your Shoes".

Next, we have Chris David, who probably isn't recognizable by their name, but you probably remember Ripoff Rodney from just two episodes of the original first season "iGot Detention" and "iDon’t Want to Fight". And finally, we have a second character from "iLove You", with Andrew Shea returning as Barry.

iCarly stars Miranda Cosgrove as Carly, Nathan Kress as Freddie, Jerry Trainor as her brother Spencer, Laci Mosley as Carly's roommate Harper, and Jaidyn Triplett as Freddie's stepdaughter Millicent.
