'Beavis and Butt-Head' Revival Moves To Comedy Central For Season 3

  If we had a nickel for every Paramount+ original adult animated series that moved premieres to Comedy Central , we’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but hey that’s the news.  Mike Judge’s  Beavis and Butt-Head   revival, which has aired its first two seasons as an  original of the streamer, is heading that way  for its third season, which is already deep in production but won’t premiere until next year. And it’s starting by giving  the critically acclaimed film that launched the revival, the Paramount+-original film  Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe  on Wednesday, July 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT Still, the rebuilding network has some catch up to do. The linear premiere of the film  heralds the revival’s second season’s own starting the following Wednesday, July 10 in the same timeslot. 'Lioness' Promotes Thad Luckinbill To Series Regular For Season 2

 


Have some pride, Thad Luckinbill, you’ve been promoted! The longtime The Young and the Restless cast member will now have a bigger place in the cast of Paramount+ original series Lioness, fka Special Ops: Lioness as he has been upped to series regular after recurring as CIA Agent Kyle during its first season.

Along with his three stints as J.T. Hellstrom on the soap since 1999 (the latest being last year), this is seemingly otherwise his first series regular role since. His previous recurring gigs include MTV’s Undressed and The CW’s Nikita in their respective debut seasons, and ABC’s 8 Simple Rules in the seasons where it had a fuller title. He is also a producing partner at Black Label Media with such under his belt as as La La Land, Sierra Burgess Is a Loser, Demolition starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Devotion, Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody, and Sicario. His own film acting credits include Just Married, Sleepover, and Reptile.

Renewed for season 2 just about a week before, Inspired by an actual United States military program, Lioness is about Joe, played by Zoe Saldaña as she attempts to balance her personal life and being the tip of the CIA’s spear in the war on terror and their efforts to thwart the next major attack. She is tasked to train Cruz Manuelos, played by Laysla De Oliveira, a rough-around-the-edges but passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from withinz  The drama also stars Michael Kelly as Donald Westfield who co-runs the program with Nicole Kidman’s Kaitlyn Meade, and Morgan Freeman as Edward Mullins, with Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan, Austin Hébert, Jonah Wharton and Hannah Love Lanier rounding out the cast. The series is executive produced by Sheridan, David C. Glasser, Saldaña, Kidman, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.
